Evergreen Innovation Group - Electrical Project Engineer
We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with 2‑5 years of MEP experience in commercial construction to support projects in our core markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, and Commercial.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Providing construction support for MEP systems.
* Applying EIG's Environmental Health and Safety Plan, including weekly safety audits.
* Understanding and enforcing contracts between EIG, subcontractors, and DPR.
* Assisting the Superintendent and Project Manager with policy implementation and project execution.
* Organizing duties of project staff (Engineers, Field Office Coordinator, Project Accountant, etc.) and providing direction.
* Participating in trainings and company meetings to foster growth.
* Electronically archiving project files for easy team access.
* Preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules; working with the Superintendent to mitigate schedule constraints.
* Maintaining document control entities: daily reports, procurement logs, submittal logs, as‑built drawings, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
* Promptly coordinating and resolving project issues with Designers, Engineers, and Owners.
* Maintaining detailed knowledge of project scopes with a hands‑on approach.
* Distributing new drawings, changes, approvals, and RFIs to all affected parties.
* Preparing agendas, documentation, minutes, and action items for various meetings.
* Monitoring testing and inspection records, safety logs, and permit sign‑offs.
Required Skills and Abilities
* Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
* Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
* Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
* Organized work approach with adaptability to project needs.
* Proactive problem‑solving in design and construction phases.
* Effective teamwork participation.
* Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office, project management software (CMiC, Prolog, etc.), scheduling software (Primavera, etc.), BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.).
* Strong work ethic, can‑do attitude, and passion for construction.
Education and Experience
* 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, preferably in EIG's core markets.
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Physical Requirements
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Travel to and from the office and assigned job sites.
