Electrical Distribution Project EngineerAs an Electrical Distribution Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:Lead and deliver electrical distribution projects (up to 34.5kV) from design through executionServe as a technical expert while guiding and mentoring junior engineersOwn project success by managing scope, budget, schedule, and quality across multi-discipline teamsPartner directly with clients to develop solutions, present designs, and drive project outcomesPlay a key role in shaping project strategy, improving processes, and supporting business growthKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare engineering deliverables for multiple projectsConduct research to develop equipment and material recommendationsManage data and perform complex engineering calculationsDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplinesLead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a projectQuality/Continuous ImprovementConsistently and independently apply knowledge and comply with quality program requirementsEnsure compliance through internal QA technical reviewsProvide guidance and direction to team membersSupport continuous improvement and change management effortsClient FocusInterface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractorsIdentify key client interests and drivers for projectsCommunicate concerns to project team members and develop solutionsProvide support for business development activitiesManage project changes directly with the client under Project Manager supervisionEngineering ProductionPrepare a variety of complex engineering deliverablesLead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverablesProvide technical leadership for Distribution Line projectsPreferred QualificationsExperience managing engineering design services for overhead and underground distribution line projects for investor-owned utilities in the United StatesExperience in design of overhead and underground distribution projects (4kV-34.5kV)Strong communication skills and interest in client relationship developmentAdvanced knowledge of engineering design principles, NESC and NEC standardsWorking knowledge of interdisciplinary project coordination: procurement, subcontract administration, permitting, real estate/land acquisition, and construction supportWorking knowledge of the proposal process and developing engineering estimatesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited programMinimum 5 years of related work experienceActive P.E. license requiredMust serve as single disciplinary lead for electrical distribution designExperience with utility clients requiredFull project life cycle experience as a Project Engineer requiredMust be able to complete pre-employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, MVR search)Security Clearance Required: NoVisa Candidate Considered: NoCompensationBase Salary - USD $100,000 to $140,000
