By joining our market sector, you will have the opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge technology and work with a team that moves quickly with decisions and expectations.Key Responsibilities:Project Execution: Prepare engineering deliverables for multiple projectsConduct research to develop equipment and material recommendationsManage data and perform complex engineering calculationsDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplinesLead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a projectQuality/Continuous Improvement: Apply knowledge and complies with Black and Veatch quality program relative to assigned tasksResponsible for ensuring compliance with Black and Veatch quality program while performing internal Quality Assurance technical reviewsProvide guidance and direction to others from the same project and disciplineSupport continuous improvement and change management effortsClient Focus: Interface directly with clients, vendors and subcontractorsIdentify key client interests and drivers for projectsCommunicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutionsProvide support for business development or pursuit activitiesManage project changes directly with the client under Project Manager supervisionEngineering Production: Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverablesLead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverablesProvide technical leadership for Distribution Line projectsDrive solutions to achieve project goalsManagement Responsibilities: Reviews lower-level engineering work or assignmentsIs responsible for one or more of the following: overseeing collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work; leading smaller production teams; and serving as the responsible charge for a projectManage the work assignments and ensures quality from project teamActively participate in management, project scheduling, and work/resource planning meetingsPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing engineering design services for overhead and underground distribution line projects for investor owned utilities in the United StatesExperience in design of overhead and underground distribution projects (4kV-34.5kV)Good communication skills and interest in engaging with Clients to grow relationshipsAdvanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards including NESC and NECWorking knowledge of interdisciplinary project coordination: procurement, subcontract administration, permitting, real estate and land acquisition, and construction supportWorking knowledge of the proposal process and developing engineering estimatesP.E.
