Dynamic role responsible for the design management and production of electrical building systems. Successful candidate will possess the capability to work independently to complete most projects assigned, from proposal / conceptual design through closeout, with limited assistance from a Senior Engineer or Director.

Job Summary

  • Support the electrical design of systems for various building types and project scopes—including power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other electrical components for buildings.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations set by local authorities, and that drawings and designs conform to company standards.
  • Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building designs.
  • Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and practices into electrical designs to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.
  • Estimate costs associated with electrical designs and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues during design, construction, or operation phases.
  • Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical systems to guide construction and maintenance.
  • Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigations for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Senior Engineers to ensure adherence to WB standards and manage workload and project scope deviations.
  • Attend project meetings and site visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD design software; Revit experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codes.
  • Service-oriented, consultative problem-solving approach.
