Ziegler Energy Solutions has an opening for an Electrical Power Engineer to support the design, integration, and implementation of distributed generation and energy infrastructure projects. This role focuses on developing practical electrical design deliverables and supporting project teams working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar PV, and EV charging systems.
nResponsibilities:

Create electrical design documents such as single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, load summaries, and cable schedules for BESS, Solar PV, and EV charging sites

Support design of DC Fast Charging (DCFC) systems including load calculations, equipment sizing, and site power distribution layouts

Provide technical support to Sales Engineers on equipment selection and feasibility during early project scoping
n n - n
Assist Project Managers and field staff by answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and issuing design clarifications

Support protection, control, and power system studies under supervision
n n - n
Integrate distributed energy resources into complete microgrid system designs
n n - n
Prepare documentation for utility interconnection

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution required
n n - n
2 - 5+ years of experience in electrical power and energy systems
n n - n
EIT certification required, PE license preferred
n n - n
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
n n - n
Understanding of LV/MV electrical systems
n n - n
Experience with Solar PV, BESS, or EV charging infrastructure preferred
n n - n
Familiarity with EV charging standards or utility interconnection preferred
n n - n
Knowledge of tools such as ETAP, HOMER, or Helioscope preferred
n n - n
Working knowledge of applicable electrical and energy storage standards, including NFPA (70, 70E, 855), UL (9540/9540A, 1741, 891, 1558, 2202), and IEEE/ANSI (1547, C37, C57)

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Must have and maintain a clean driving record

nThe pay range for this position is
n$82,300.00 to $123,500.00
nStarting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
