ASR Group® companies also produce and market Tellus®, a single-use, compostable tableware and foodservice product made from plant fibers, including sugarcane.OVERVIEW: The Packaging Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the supervision of high-speed packaging equipment including Fanuc robot cells, Lambert palletizers, Orion Stretch Wrappers and Top Sheet Dispensers. The position also supervises electrical packaging employees in a unionized environment.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESInstructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties as requiredOversees maintenance and repairs adjusts when necessary Lambert and Fanuc Robotic Palletizers including all allied electrical and mechanical systemsResponsible for guidance and oversight in troubleshooting and repairs of all related packaging machine problems with competent speed and accuracyReads and interprets blueprints, sketches, schematic drawings, and manufacturer's instructionsResponsible for continuous updating blueprints, schematics and drawingsDetermines materials and supplies needed to support maintenance and repairResponsible for services and overhauls of basic machine elements such as glue pumps, gear reducers, clutches-brake assembliesPerforms/Oversees simple metal work, use of band saws, drill press, chop saw, fabricating brackets and rails, drill and tap, extracting broken bolts etc.Ensures that all work is being performed in accordance with established safety proceduresWORK EXPERIENCESAt least 2 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor or Packaging Equipment Supervisor in a manufacturing facilityEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentCertificate or degree in an Industrial Maintenance field requiredMilitary service will be consideredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYResponsible for supervision and scheduling of the #1AMM And #2AMM'sMust establish relationships and address conflict through appropriate resolution skills and techniques as neededMust consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, and employeesESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)Fabrication skills utilizing shop equipmentAbility to diagnose and correct operating issues with packaging and allied equipmentKnowledge of machine lubrication and different types of lubricants is neededStrong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Knowledge of SAP is preferredAbility to square, lace, replace, and track all types of conveyor beltsAbility to align, tension, and replace all types of power transmission devices.
