AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our client's maintenance team. This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical systems in a manufacturing setting, including plastic production machinery and facility equipment.

- Pay: $23.50/hr. to $33.50/hr., depending on experience
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control devices, and equipment
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment using test equipment
- Perform both electrical and mechanical repairs as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and components
- Build and install control boxes on new or refurbished equipment
- Operate forklift and scissor lift, as needed
- Maintain repair and maintenance records including inventory, manuals, and drawings
- Support quality policy and minimize equipment downtime
- Follow safety and health guidelines at all times
- May direct the work of contractors performing electrical installation of equipment
- Participate in training, retraining, and continuous improvement processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
- General computer skills with ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions with little direction
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and proof of insurability
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel within Winona for electrical project work at other facilities
- Physical ability to regularly lift/move up to 60 lbs. and occasionally handle up to 250 lbs. with equipment
- Comfortable working at elevated heights up to 30 feet and in varied environmental conditions (temperature extremes, dust, fumes, airborne particles, etc.)
- Attendance and dependability are essential
- Two-year technical degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent education/experience
- 1+ year of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician (training provided for qualified candidates)
- Plastic extrusion experience helpful (training provided)
- Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred (will train)
- Basic PLC and automation programming knowledge a plus
