Job Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay Rate: $28-30 hourly
Shift: Frist Shift Priority (5am - 1pm)
Description: Field Chicagoland area
AltaStaff, a boutique staffing agency is looking for a several Electrical Maintenance Technician. This role is fulltime, and in the field company vehicle provided.
Summary: Our Maintenance Technicians serve as a member of the roadside maintenance organization. You will proactively deliver preventive maintenance and failure repairs on tolling equipment, safely and responsibly. This role will be for the first shift of 5am - 1pm.
Responsibilities
Maintenance/Installation, Configuration Support and Troubleshooting for:

• Linux and Windows based PCs
• Video cameras, lighting, and controllers for image collection systems
• Radio Frequency System (RFID) readers
• Vehicle Sensors such as Inductive Loops, Treadles, Optical Separators, etc.
• Local and Wide Area Network equipment
• Notifying management when parts orders are needed for repairs
• Weatherizing the building by repairing weather stripping or replacing insulation

Monitoring and Performance

• Monitor system performance both on-site and remotely.
• Ensure systems performance is maintained within specifications.
• Optimize performance within system specifications.

Service Agreements

• Provide responsive field and/or remote service for all assigned equipment.
• Work a rotation on-call schedule to ensure after-hours support.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Support the Operations Project Manager in meeting the needs of the client.
• Updating work orders, writing notes about services performed and closing requests upon completion
• Adhering to workplace health and safety standards

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma; Associates Degree with Certification in Electronics preferred
• Active and Valid Driver's License
• 2+ years experience in electronics, hardware maintenance, signal generators or power supplies, Avionics, Communication, PC/Servers Harware
• Background Check, Drug Test and Physical Exam, required pre employment screening.
• Basic computer skills (Windows-based operating platform and Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word at a minimum)

Work Environment

• Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes extreme.
• Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record and background checks, as required.
• Work at heights up to 40 ft utilizing bucket trucks, ladders, or other means.
• OSHA Certifications may be required.
• Manual dexterity and willingness to work outdoors
• Physical and cognitive ability necessary to do confined space entry and perform rescue operations when necessary
• Must be able to function in a team environment and be capable of achieving daily productivity targets
• Must be willing to travel and work in the physical conditions present in a sewer
• Successful completion and passing of Company Safety Modules & OSHA certifications

• Military Electronics fields such as Avionics, Communication, etc.
• PC/Server Service
• RFID System Service
• Security and Surveillance System Service
