Industrial Electrical Maintenance TechnicianService Center Metals, located in Prince George, VA is a leader in the aluminum industry, and we are hiring for an experienced multi-crafted Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician who will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Prince George plant.Candidate requirements:Must have at least 3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting and commercial electrical experienceTroubleshooting and repairing electrical components such as motors, generators, and automation systemsRepair, maintain, and upgrade electrical equipmentRepairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, or fixturesExperience using test equipment to troubleshoot electrical issuesExperience in Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, and Welding & FabricatingWork well in a team environment at a fast paceBe dependable and accountableWork a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/3 to 5 days-per-week, alternating every other weekend including overtimeLift up to 75 pounds or more on a regular basisAble to reach, stoop, bend, and be physical throughout a work shiftWork effectively in very hot and cold temperaturesHave excellent math and verbal skillsHigh School Graduate or GED preferredPreferred qualifications:Works well as a member of a groupShows firm and constant support to a causeInspires teammates to follow themConsistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinkingShows eagerness and willingness to help others and get the job completedCapable of carrying out a given task well with all details necessaryDevoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityInspired to perform without outside helpInspired to perform well by the chance to take on more responsibilityShows initiative with taking classes in electrical, mechanical, automation control systemsService Center Metals is a leading manufacturer dedicated to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
