Electrical Maintenance TechnicianThe Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production and auxiliary equipment and installing new equipment.ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties:Inspect and test the operation of electrical components and systems up to and including transformers and switchgearInstallation of new industrial electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, circuit breakers, PLC's, HMI's, robotic systems, lighting, electrical facilities equipment (transformers, switchgear)Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsDocumenting electrical repairs and maintenance procedures in work order systemAdherence to NFPA 70E standards for lockout/tagout and de-energizing live electrical equipmentTroubleshoots and assesses root causes or deficiencies in electro-mechanical equipment. Diagnoses and executes repairs in a safe and efficient mannerCommunicates status of work orders or emergency repairs to maintenance planner, electrical engineer, or maintenance manager and enlists further resources as neededConsults with operators, operations managers, and other end-users to determine safest and most cost-effective repairsProactively looks for ways to save time and money in repairs, preventative maintenance, and outsourcing opportunitiesManages electrical preventive maintenance program and corrective maintenance repairsSalary: $37.00/hr. - $42.00/hr.

This range represents the expected base compensationQualificationsAssociate degree in electrical engineering technology and/or completion of a five year electrical apprenticeship program. 5 plus years' experience and training in mechanical and electrical functions of production equipment in an industrial setting.Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and ability to read and interpret electrical schematicsAbility to read and interpret information, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formExcellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to solve both routine and complex electrical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correctAbility to utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking maintenance workMust be detail oriented, organized and energeticMust regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsThis document outlines the minimum qualifications of the positions and is not intended to be all-inclusive of duties.PaperWorks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
