Electrical Hardware EngineerSeeking experienced Electrical Hardware Engineers to support a major automation installation project in Austin, Texas. This position will serve as a key technical resource during equipment installation and commissioning activities, providing on-site electrical engineering support, maintaining electrical documentation, and ensuring field issues are resolved quickly and effectively.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with industrial automation systems, electrical hardware design, field installation support, and EPLAN documentation within automotive, battery, manufacturing, or automated production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport electrical installation activities during equipment build and commissioningProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to field installation teamsAnswer installation-related electrical and controls questions from technicians and contractorsUpdate, revise, and maintain EPLAN electrical drawings based on field conditions and engineering changesDocument redlines and ensure all electrical schematics accurately reflect final installation conditionsCoordinate with project managers, controls engineers, mechanical engineers, and installation teams to resolve technical issuesReview electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and panel drawings for accuracySupport issue tracking, corrective actions, and engineering change implementationVerify electrical installations comply with project specifications and standardsAssist with startup, debugging, and validation activities as requiredParticipate in daily project meetings and communicate installation progress and technical concernsRequired QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, machine tool, automotive, or manufacturing projectsProficiency with EPLAN Electric P8Ability to read and interpret: Electrical schematicsWiring diagramsControl panel layoutsInstallation drawingsStrong understanding of industrial electrical systems and controlsExperience supporting field installation and commissioning activitiesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with installation teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting automotive manufacturing or battery production facilitiesKnowledge of PLC-controlled automation systemsExperience with robotic systems and automated assembly equipmentFamiliarity with electrical standards including NFPA 79, NEC, and UL508APrevious experience supporting large-scale automation integration projectsSkillsEPLAN Electric P8Electrical Hardware EngineeringIndustrial AutomationElectrical Installation SupportCommissioning & StartupControls SystemsTechnical TroubleshootingEngineering Change ManagementElectrical DocumentationProject Coordination
