Supporting federal government construction projects remotely, the full-time Electrical Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates for new construction, renovations, and modernization projects while collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and government stakeholders. Key responsibilities Prepare detailed conceptual, design, and construction cost estimates for federal building projects Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate quantity takeoffs Analyze contractor bids, change orders, and cost proposals for reasonableness Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field Minimum of 5 years of professional electrical estimating experience supporting commercial, institutional, or federal construction projects Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, and low-voltage systems Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
