Electrical Estimator

Role Overview

An established Electrical Contractor in New York is looking to hire an experienced Electrical Estimator to support its current workload and upcoming projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating electrical construction work with project values typically ranging from $500K up to $10M-$15M.

The position is suited to someone with solid electrical estimating experience, strong construction knowledge, and an understanding of project costs from bid stage through to award.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce electrical estimates and bids across a range of construction projects.
• Assess drawings, specifications, addenda, and tender documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Carry out labor and material takeoffs and develop project pricing.
• Review quotations from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Compile bid documentation, including qualifications, exclusions, and clarifications.
• Coordinate with project and operations teams following successful bids.

Background & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical estimating.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction and installation.
• Confident reading electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience estimating projects valued from $500K to $10M+.
• Previous field experience preferred.
• Accubid experience.

Compensation

• $140K-$160K+ DOE.
