About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Electrical Estimator with strong knowledge of the Baltimore-Washington commercial construction market. This individual will play a key role in developing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for a variety of commercial projects.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of electrical estimating experience , including work on schools, hospitals, and federal projects. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor and support estimating team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all estimating activities, including cost development and bid preparation
- Prepare, review, and finalize complete and accurate estimate packages
- Maintain and update estimating databases and cost libraries
- Review bid requests, drawings, and specifications for scope accuracy and completeness
- Conduct job site walks and identify scope gaps or discrepancies in project documents
- Develop bid summaries and present estimates to project managers and executives
- Track and compare historical and current project costs to improve forecasting accuracy
- Maintain weekly bid calendars and reporting updates on active estimates
- Support estimating process improvements, standards, and procedures
- Train and mentor junior estimators and support staff
- Maintain organized and confidential estimating documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong understanding of electrical construction practices and systems
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related systems (fire alarm, etc.)
- Experience with estimating software and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams)
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Field experience as a licensed electrician or
- Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience in commercial construction estimating (schools, hospitals, federal projects preferred)
