Switchgear Electrical EstimatorBenefits: 2 weeks PTO/Paid Holidays/Health/Vision/Dental/etc.About the Role:As a Switchgear Electrical Estimator, you'll be responsible for developing accurate, detailed cost estimates for medium and high-voltage switchgear and related equipment. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams to prepare bids that meet project requirements and drive profitability.Key Responsibilities:- Review technical specifications, one-line diagrams, and project plans to determine switchgear requirements.- Develop detailed material and labor cost estimates for switchgear systems (e.g., switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, transfer switches).- Prepare RFQs and coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times.- Use internal tools for proposals.- Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-bid reviews to clarify scope, compliance, and pricing strategy.- Collaborate with internal engineering and procurement teams to ensure proposal accuracy and feasibility.Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, with specific experience in switchgear systems.- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, NEC/NFPA codes, and UL requirements.- Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, specifications, and submittal packages.- Strong organizational and time-management skills.(Preferred) Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
