n3+ years of direct people management experience leading electrical engineering teams
nExperience designing industrial control panels (UL508A)
nStrong knowledge of NEC (NFPA79), UL508A/SB, and HVAC-related electrical standards
nExperience leading new product development efforts from concept through release
nProficiency with CAD tools (Creo preferred) and engineering documentation processes
nExperience managing project timelines, technical priorities, and engineering resources
nPlusses
nExperience leading teams within HVAC, thermal management, liquid cooling, or data center infrastructure
nExperience with PLM systems and change management processes
nExperience managing multi-site or cross-functional engineering teams
nKnowledge of UL60335-2-40 or related standards

nDay to Day
nThe Electrical Engineering Manager will lead a team of electrical engineers responsible for the design, development, and release of electrical systems for Vertiv's High Density Liquid Cooling product portfolio. This individual will provide both technical leadership and people management while partnering closely with mechanical engineering, software engineering, product management, manufacturing, and quality teams.
nKey Responsibilities
nManage and develop a team of electrical engineers, including performance management, coaching, and career development
nProvide technical leadership for electrical system design across Liquid Cooling products, including CDUs and related technologies
nDrive execution of multiple engineering programs while balancing resources, priorities, and project timelines
nReview and approve electrical designs, schematics, panel layouts, and engineering documentation
nEnsure compliance with applicable UL, NEC, and industry standards
nPartner with product management and engineering leadership to align development priorities with business objectives
nLead root cause investigations and resolution of field quality issues
nSupport hiring, workforce planning, and team growth initiatives
nOversee product cost reduction efforts, design improvements, and value engineering activities
nCollaborate with software, controls, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure successful product launches
nEstablish engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement across the organization
nSALARY : 170K
