nnnELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER
nKratos is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and develop our electrical engineering
nteam supporting the design and manufacture of UL891 switchboards, metal-clad medium-voltage
nswitchgear, controls packages, and related power distribution equipment.
nnThis is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical electrical engineering execution, direct
nteam management, production support, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate has
nexperience in a manufacturing environment, understands engineered-to-order electrical equipment,
nand can lead a team while maintaining high standards for accuracy, documentation, schedule
nperformance, and accountability.
nnROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
nAs the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of electrical and
ncontrols engineers while also contributing technically to project execution. Key responsibilities
ninclude:
n• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical and controls-focused engineers
n• Oversee engineering work related to UL891 switchboards, metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear,
ncontrols packages, and related electrical equipment
n• Ensure engineering deliverables are accurate, complete, and released on time to support
nproduction schedules
n• Review and support electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, BOMs, and
nproduction documentation
n• Ensure accurate and complete Bills of Material are created and maintained to support ERP
ncoordination and project execution
n• Maintain and elevate engineering documentation standards, including drawing revisions, redlines,
nas-builts, and project closeout documentation
n• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to engineering, production,
npurchasing,
nquality, sales, and project management teams
nCoordinate closely with production personnel to resolve manufacturing questions, drawing issues,
nmaterial concerns, and design conflicts
n• Drive accountability through clear task delegation, prioritization, follow-up, and performance
nexpectations
n• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on hiring, performance management, training,
nprocess improvement, and team development
n• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, design practices, workflows, and
ndocumentation processes
n• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, vendors, internal departments, and
ncross-functional teams
n• Balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

nnQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
n• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical
nfield
n; equivalent industry experience may be considered
n• 5+ years of engineering experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, controls,
nmanufacturing, or a related technical environment
n• 2+ years of direct leadership, supervisory, or technical team-lead experience
n• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order production environment
n• Working knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and
nengineering documentation practices
n• Experience with CAD tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar
nplatforms
n• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, mentor, and hold engineering team members
naccountable
n• Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and time-management skills
n• Ability to collaborate effectively with production, purchasing, quality, sales, project
nmanagement, vendors, and customers
nnSKILLS
n• Experience with UL891 switchboards
n• Experience with metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear
n• Working knowledge of applicable electrical standards, including UL508A, UL891, NEC/NFPA
nrequirements, and related industry practices
n• Experience with power distribution equipment, switchgear, switchboards, control panels,
nprotection, metering, relaying, and related componentry
n• Experience developing and implementing controls solutions and controls packages
n• Ladder logic or PLC programming experience
n• ERP experience, particularly related to BOM creation, material planning, and
nengineering-to-production workflows
n• Experience improving engineering processes, documentation standards, and design release
nprocedures
n• Prior experience managing engineers, designers, or technical production-support
npersonnel
