Learn more about our student program and career opportunities at Nexteer by visiting This is a Student Co-op position located in Saginaw, MI.  This position supports the design, and testing activities of the Power Pack Architecture and Core team.Job Activities: Acquire, build, and test prototype parts including electric motors, sensors, controllers, circuit boards and wire harnessesPerform electrical tests involving any combination of electric motors, sensor, controllers, etc.Operate lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimetersCircuit schematic capture and updatesAssisting engineers with project dutiesDevelop electrical design skills that aid in circuit/schematic analysisRequirements:Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to SaginawCandidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer EngineeringCandidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semestersUp to 40 in the summerMust have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scaleMust be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semestersCandidate must have an interest in Electronics and Circuit design.Candidate must have growing knowledge and application of Electrical Engineering principlesCandidate must have strong mathematical and analytic abilityCandidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Candidate must have excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detailCandidate must have an understanding of typical electrical bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Multimeters, Soldering Equipment etc)Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorshipNexteer is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disabled/Minorities/Veterans/WomenNexteer is an E-Verify employer.
