Electrical EngineerTake on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in developing test equipment and software used for maintaining Propulsion and Train Control Management System electronics, contributing to the efficiency and safety of railway systems.

Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, assemblers, purchasing, and quality assurance), ensure the application of testing standards during product development, and much more.We'll look to you for:Applying test principles and methods, including testability, test coverage, and test tool capacity.Gaining full technical understanding of the work assigned, including electronics domain analysis, troubleshooting, and component evaluation.Designing and maintaining test tools and means such as In-Circuit, JTAG, functional test benches, and programming in LabVIEW or C.Developing and maintaining test bench structures, ensuring effective debugging and troubleshooting.Applying safety principles with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) equipment.Crunching and analyzing data from test results to drive improvements.Supporting tender quotations for bench test projects.Guaranteeing the application of testing standards (DFT rules, standard test platform usage, maintenance rules) during product development to optimize productivity and test coverage.Defining software, hardware, and mechanical architecture for automated test benches in compliance with EHS Alstom and external standards.Developing new test rules and repair requirements to enhance productivity and test coverage.All about you:We value passion and attitude over experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be consideredMinimum 5 years of experience in Test Equipment design, including developing test software and hardware for electronics systems - mandatory requirementKnowledge of high power and high voltage testing, PCB-level testing, and test principles such as testability, test coverage, and test validationFamiliarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word), cable modeling software, simulation software, and product lifecycle management toolsStrong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing customer trainingProficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW or C for test software developmentAbility to troubleshoot and debug test benches, electronic modules, and componentsKnowledge of safety principles for working with high-voltage and low-voltage equipmentProject management skills to manage tasks and meet project schedulesWillingness to travel (less than 10%) to support project deployment and customer site activitiesThings you'll enjoy:Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
