You'll contribute to projects from planning and conceptual design through construction support while continuing to build your technical expertise and professional growth.This role offers opportunities to work on a variety of electrical systems including low- and medium-voltage power distribution, motor control systems, standby power systems, lighting systems, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA integration. You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers while progressively taking ownership of project tasks and client interactions.At our company, you'll have opportunities to grow your technical skills, work alongside experienced engineers, and make a meaningful impact on infrastructure that serves communities.We'll expect you to:Design electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure projects.Prepare engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, motor control schematics, panel schedules, load calculations, voltage drop calculations, conduit/cable routing plans, and equipment layouts.Assist with development of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and Basis of Design reports.Support electrical system design including low-voltage and medium-voltage power systems, motor controls, lighting systems, standby power systems, UPS systems, and battery systems.Coordinate with utility providers for new electrical services and service modifications.Utilize lighting software to perform photometric calculations and lighting layouts.Support electrical system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and load flow evaluations.Conduct field investigations and site visits to verify existing conditions.Support construction-phase services including submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and record drawings.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple office locations.Support QA/QC efforts on engineering deliverables.Continue developing technical expertise and progress toward PE licensure.Here's what you'll need:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering3+ years of electrical engineering experienceEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification requiredDesire to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensureExperience with low-voltage electrical power systemsBasic understanding of medium-voltage electrical systemsWorking knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standardsFamiliarity with electrical calculations and design fundamentalsExperience with Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work effectively in collaborative environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsIdeally, you'll also have:Experience with municipal water and wastewater projectsHave a PE or plan to obtain PE licensure within a year if possibleFamiliarity with SKM or ETAPExperience with AGi32 or Visual lighting softwareExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStationFamiliarity with instrumentation and control systemsExposure to PLC and SCADA systemsFamiliarity with NFPA 820 requirementsConstruction-phase support experienceField investigation and site assessment experienceThe base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $116,700.00.
