The Electrical Engineer must possess a detailed knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical construction, and motor control centers.Job responsibilities include:Prepares construction drawings, writes specifications and performs advanced engineering calculations including Short circuit current calculations, Voltage drop calculations, Breaker coordination studies in the process of completing electrical design of above and below ground water system facilities.Manages project scope, schedule, and budgetPrepares construction contracts, bids projects, and awards contractsProvides construction management and shared field inspection at the location of the project constructionMinimum Qualifications:Two years of experience working as an electrical engineerWater Industry ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSkill in the area of project management with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines successfullyDetailed knowledge and experience in the following areas:Design of motor control centersKnowledge of National Electrical CodeElectrical constructionProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsValid California Driver LicenseNice-To-Have:California Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or California Professional Electrical Engineer (CA PE)
