Verification And Validation (V&V) EngineerAeva is seeking to hire a talented and motivated Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our EE Hardware Development Team. The EE HW team owns the design, build and bring-up of Aeva's mixed-signal PCBs. As a V&V Hardware Engineer, you will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks in PCBA or sub-circuit bringup, characterization, verification, and validation.What you'll be doing:Work closely with EE design engineers and other engineering teams to examine the individual PCBs, their function, and interconnectionsSimulation & hands-on characterization of a circuit, sub-circuit, PCBA, or system and articulating feedback in formal or informal design reviews.Partner with design leads to perform a variety of design verification & validation tasksMay engage with CM's or internal Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth roll-out in an NPI functionSupport EE team in backend design support including RMA, FA, and Customer interfacingWhat you have:BS or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field1-4 years experience in the Electrical Hardware / product space with robust, hands-on lab experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood understanding of HW components, their interfaces and SW controlsGood understanding of debug and probing techniques for a variety communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCIE etc)Understanding of PCB design fundamentals & technical tradeoffsBe an active team member working closely with other EE design engineers and other groupsAbility to analyze a design, component data sheet, user guide, or schematic to make insightful decisionsPrior experience with Python / MATLAB for test automation and data visualizationExperience in motor control and/or RF/analog design is a plusA big plus if you have experience in the automotive or Lidar industryWhat's in for you:Be part of an fast paced and dynamic team with a large scope of responsibility and high impactVery competitive compensation and meaningful equityExceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and moreUnlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching a timecard$132,400 - $179,200 a year Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.
