* Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering program (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
* Not open to associate degrees
* Master's Degree and/or PhD can be considered
* Internships are not accepted as job experience
* Comparable background titles: Senior Design Engineer
Top 3 Skills
* Mechanical and/or Electrical product design experience; extensive Creo, Teamcenter, and/or Fluid lines experience
* Ability to deeply collaborate with other design engineers and functional areas
* Attention to detail; ensure designs follow Caterpillar design guides and best practices while acting with a sense of urgency in day‑to‑day tasks
Additional Technical Skills (Required)
* Electrical harness design experience (hydraulic integration design may also be considered)
* Extensive Creo, Teamcenter, and/or Fluid lines experience
* FMEAs
* Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
* Technical problem solving
* Ensure designs follow Caterpillar design guides and best practices
* Prior Caterpillar experience preferred
* Ability to troubleshoot wiring and cable mounting issues
* 3D clearance checks
* TeamCenter Vis Mockup
