Description:
Lead an electrical team and keep designing. You’ll manage the people and the workload while staying hands-on with projects at an award-winning consulting engineering firm in Tampa Bay.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of electrical engineers and designers
- Assign projects based on workload and strengths
- Design lighting, power distribution, emergency generation, fire alarm and security systems
- Guide BIM coordination from schematic design through construction documents
- Handle construction administration: site observations, shop drawings, punch lists
- Keep scope clear and projects on track with clients, architects, owners and code officials
- Work with the Director on recruiting, onboarding and performance management
What you bring:
- Active PE license
- 10+ years in electrical engineering and design of commercial buildings (aviation, higher ed, healthcare, hospitality, entertainment or government a plus)
- 7+ years leading multi-discipline engineering teams
- Revit MEP proficiency
- Strong working knowledge of local, state and national codes
- Experience with xhqgsiq design-build, design-bid-build and fast-track delivery
- Ability to write original specifications and project manuals
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
