You will work within an integrated multi-disciplinary environment alongside architects, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, structural engineers, project managers, and senior technical leaders while developing expertise in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, life safety, grounding, bonding, and low-voltage systems.Level and Compensation GuideEngineer I / II: Typically aligned with candidates bringing 1–3 years of experience, EIT/EI certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year, and a focus on design support, calculations, and construction documents under senior engineer guidanceEngineer I / II Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on experienceEngineer III / IV: Typically aligned with candidates bringing 4–10 years of experience, PE licensure preferred, and the ability to independently lead design packages, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor junior staffEngineer III / IV Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000 annually, depending on experience and licensureSenior Engineer IV / V: Typically aligned with candidates bringing 10+ years of experience, PE licensure required, and the ability to serve as Engineer of Record or lead discipline-level responsibilitiesSenior Engineer IV / V Salary Range: $97,000 – $144,000+ annually, depending on experience, licensure, and leadership scopeHybrid Schedule: Open to discussion for senior-level candidatesCore ResponsibilitiesPrepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and design documentation for electrical building systemsDesign and support low and medium voltage power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, life safety, grounding, bonding, and low-voltage infrastructureDevelop electrical system layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM modeling toolsEnsure electrical designs comply with NEC, NFPA, Florida Building Code, and applicable jurisdictional requirementsAssist with or lead shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and quality checks on electrical design packagesCoordinate with architecture, mechanical, structural, civil, and other engineering disciplines to support integrated design solutionsSupport or manage project schedules, cost estimates, scopes, and design deliverables depending on experience levelParticipate in client meetings, design discussions, site visits, and field investigations across project phasesFollow established QA/QC procedures and maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local codesResearch materials, equipment, systems, and emerging technologies to support project requirementsCollaborate with senior engineers and technical staff to build professional judgment and advance toward licensureMentor junior engineers and designers as experience level allowsServe as Engineer of Record for applicable projects at the senior levelRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience: 1+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems, municipal, commercial, industrial, institutional, or infrastructure-related environmentsLicensure: EIT/EI certification required for Engineer I/II, or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hireSenior Licensure: PE license required or actively pursued for Engineer III+ roles, with PE required for senior-level considerationSoftware: Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEPCodes & Standards: Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and Florida Building CodeTechnical Knowledge: Understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, life safety, grounding, bonding, and low-voltage systemsCommunication: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsTransportation: Valid driver's license and clean driving record
