Job TitleElectrical EngineerKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and evaluate electrical systems for energy efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, and performance-based projectsPerform electrical engineering calculations including load analysis, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and power quality assessmentsDevelop drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for electrical systemsSupport energy audits and site assessments, including data collection and field verificationCollaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, construction teams, and external stakeholdersReview contractor submittals and respond to RFIs during constructionSupport commissioning activities and functional testing of electrical systemsEnsure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and local AHJ requirements)Assist in cost estimating, lifecycle analysis, and energy savings calculationsContribute to the continuous improvement of internal engineering standards and best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field3–7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience (energy services, buildings, or infrastructure preferred)Working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and building electrical designFamiliarity with energy efficiency technologies and building systemsProficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar)Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a project-driven environmentPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with intent to obtain PEExperience in energy performance contracting, ESCO projects, or decarbonization initiativesKnowledge of lighting design, controls, renewable energy systems, or battery storageExperience with commissioning or construction supportFamiliarity with utility incentive programs and measurement & verification (M&V)
