We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our Oak Ridge, TN office.As an Electrical Engineer in the Oak Ridge office, you will perform a variety of electrical engineering design and construction support functions. This includes survey/assess existing facility, scoping and estimating level of engineering effort; field work to assess existing conditions; report writing; conceptual design; design development of drawings, specifications, and calculation analyses; and assistance with cost estimating. For construction support, the following activities are required: dispositioning NCRs, performing assessments on existing design, responding to RFIs, issuing Design Change Notices (DCNs).

Duties also include coordination with Quality on inspections and supporting development of Scopes of work for electrical subcontracts; and services during bidding and construction, including answering requests for information, bid review, shop drawing review, site visits during construction, commissioning support, hosting progress meetings, and project closeout. The work location for this position is in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.The greatest challenges provide the biggest rewards. Let's get to work!Qualifications:BS-Electrical Engineering from an ABET-certified institution andFE LicenseThree (3) or more years of electrical engineering design experienceConstruction support experience for Title 3 activitiesSole US citizenship required (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)Short Circuit Analysis experienceSome knowledge of the NECExperience working in groups of engineers and designers on projectsExperience of leading technical discussions with clientsAbility to author proposals and Statements of work is a plusPreferred Qualifications:PE LicenseDOE experience desiredNQA-1 experience desiredArc Flash Analysis experienceFamiliarity with Instrumentation & Controls interfaceKnowledge of electrical systems is required, including power system design, load centers, fire alarm design, lighting design, load flow studies, communications design, grounding design and equipment selectionAbility to produce sizing calculations and other analyses/reports is desired.Experience in providing construction support or services during construction is desired.Work Location:This position is remote/hybrid work with a preferred for this position to be worked full-time in Oak Ridge, TN. For people within 50 miles of the Oak Ridge, TN office, a hybrid option requiring a person to be in office for minimum of 50% of the week. For people outside of 50 miles, a remote option with quarterly travel to the Oak Ridge, TN office is available. For hybrid and remote work, you are required to provide and work in a secured location as approved by the company within the United States due to the projects that you will be participating in.Compensation Details:$90,000 - $160,000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
