Projects are predominantly one-of-a-kind solutions developed for U.S.
Navy and other DoD customers. Engineers are expected to be hands-on from design through build and test.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, and mentor small to medium electrical engineering teams through full project lifecycleGenerate complete electrical and control system designs from high-level, incomplete requirements with minimal supervisionCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to architect working systemsPrepare and participate in regular design reviews, maintaining a system-level perspective throughoutPerform hands-on assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing alongside design workRequired QualificationsBS or advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with electrical concentration10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including concept, design, simulation, assembly, and testing of complex electromechanical/robotic systemsExperience selecting and integrating COTS equipment and designing interfacesProficiency in electrical/electronic component selection including power supplies, signal conditioning, SSRs, connectors, and wiring devicesExperience with embedded microprocessor/SBC-based control systems and I/O definitionExperience with data communications protocols: Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I2CDC power systems design experience; ability to calculate system power and energy requirementsStrong electrical drawing skills: schematics, wiring diagrams, cable drawings, block diagramsProficiency with test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, spectrum analyzersProficiency in CAD/simulation tools such as Altium Designer, SPICE, AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or MATLABStrong written and oral communication skills
