Electrical Engineer - Power SystemsThe Electrical Engineer - Power Systems at Dynapower, Part of Sensata Technologies, is responsible for end-to-end electrical system design—from concept and schematic development through drafting, design for manufacturing (DFM), testing, and production release.General ResponsibilitiesKey participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challengesCollaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designsOrganizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launchKey participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluationsMaintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test proceduresCollaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budgetExperience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experienceMust be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demandsStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentationStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve resultsStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrityHolds self-accountable to achieving goals and standardsProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersElectrical Design & DraftingDevelop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)Create and maintain accurate engineering drawings and documentation for productionEnsure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements, and internal specificationsDesign for Manufacturing (DFM)Design electrical systems with manufacturability, cost, and reliability in mindPartner with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize builds and production processesSupport prototyping, pilot builds, and production rampIncorporate feedback from manufacturing, field service, and quality into design improvementsPreferred experience in PLC and HMI developmentBase Salary Range:$95,920.00 - $131,890.00At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
