Electrical EngineerAn established building systems engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver electrical design work across a wide range of projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is well-suited for a consulting-side engineer who is ready to take ownership of electrical scopes, manage project responsibilities, and contribute to technically rigorous, integrated building system solutions. Projects range from small commercial facilities to large, complex environments supporting sophisticated electrical systems.
Most travel is local and completed as day trips to project sites.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of electrical systems, including equipment selection, layouts, and specificationsPerform detailed electrical calculations and design analysisDevelop coordinated construction documents and technical specificationsCoordinate closely with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other engineering disciplinesManage electrical scopes across multiple projects, ensuring schedules, quality, and deliverables are metBegin leading small project teams, assigning tasks and supporting timely executionMonitor project progress and adjust plans to meet client and project goalsParticipate in project meetings and client interactionsContribute to internal technical knowledge-sharing and professional developmentMaintain awareness of applicable codes, standards, and best practicesPursue and maintain professional licensure, as appropriateQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in an electrical engineering consulting environmentDemonstrated ability to lead electrical design efforts and manage project responsibilitiesStrong technical foundation in power distribution, lighting systems, and applicable codesClear, professional communication skills and comfort working client-facingProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred; licensure-in-progress consideredCandidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
