Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Electrical Engineer - Power Generation, we'll count on you to:Have experience within the utility scale power and renewable energy industry and be capable of supporting power generation design projects including leading multiple design and engineering project or administration tasks simultaneously.Experience in power generation and distribution, renewable energy, protection and motor control design, power system studies, construction and equipment specification development, and balance of plant designs such as raceway, lighting, and grounding systems.Interest or experience in the exciting market of renewables and battery energy storage systems (BESS) is very desired.Mentor junior engineers, client relationship development, and supporting marketing activities, such as proposal technical writing, fee builds, and development of work breakdown structure is desired.A level of design and engineer of record work experience with power plant systems is required.Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas or ability to obtain reciprocityProtection and control design experience including setting calculations and electronic files developmentInstrumentation and Controls experience particularly with DCS and PLC systems is a plusField experience, including startup and commissioning, experience is desiredExperience in renewable energy (PV, BESS, etc.) and DER or "microgrid" projects is highly desiredPrevious experience with an engineering power consulting firm desiredWillingness to grow into a team lead or section manager roleKnowledge and experience with three-phase electrical power, protection and control design, system grounding, physical design, and experience with other activities such as lighting and grounding design, including instrumentation and control and life safety systemsCapable computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYMCAD, PSCAD, etc.)Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in EngineeringRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
