The ideal candidate will have experience supporting heavy industrial facilities and a strong desire to continue developing technically while gaining exposure to larger, more complex projects.What You'll Be Working OnElectrical engineering and design for industrial facilities and power generation projectsNew capital projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering and construction supportPower distribution systems, motor control centers, substations, switchgear, instrumentation, and controlsGrounding, lighting, power distribution, cable routing, and electrical installation packagesMultidiscipline project teams supporting major infrastructure developmentsEmerging energy and power generation technologiesKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and engineering deliverablesPrepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, electrical layouts, and installation detailsPerform electrical system analysis including load calculations, voltage drop calculations, conduit sizing, and equipment selectionSupport project estimates, material take-offs, and engineering studiesReview vendor drawings, equipment packages, and construction documentsCoordinate with designers, engineers, and project teams across multiple disciplinesParticipate in field visits, site assessments, startup support, and construction activitiesProvide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers as experience growsSupport projects through FEL, basic engineering, detailed design, and execution phasesQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringApproximately 7–15 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial environmentsExperience supporting power generation, utilities, industrial manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, midstream, downstream, or related facilitiesStrong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Experience with electrical distribution systems, motor control centers, switchgear, substations, and instrumentation systemsAbility to develop engineering calculations, specifications, and construction packagesExperience working with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design softwareStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain oneExperience with medium-voltage power systemsFamiliarity with PLC, HMI, DCS, or industrial control systemsInstrumentation and controls experienceSpanish language skills are a plusExperience working with geographically dispersed or international engineering teams
