Electrical Engineer PositionMead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an electrical engineer.Responsibilities include:The design of electrical systems for public or water/wastewater facility projectsPreparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and constructionTechnical support on large and/or complex projectsProviding construction administration and site visitsMentoring staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliersClient managementSome travel will be required.The successful candidate must have all of the following:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical from an accredited college or universityAt least six (6) years of relevant electrical engineering experienceA PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within six (6) months of hireThe ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:Experience with designing electrical systems for public and water/wastewater facilities (water/wastewater collection, pumping/treatment and discharge)Designing electrical systems using power analysis software (EasyPower, SKM Power Tools, or similar) and lighting calculation software (Visual Lighting, AGI32, or ElumTools)Codes, statutes, standards and laws related to building design and constructionExperience with arc flash hazardsKnowledge of variable frequency drives (VFD) and pumpsUnderstanding of medium voltage distribution systemsExperience with Revit and/or AutoCADExperience mentoring less experienced engineersExperience with power system studies, system planning and operations, and equipment specificationsKnowledge of/experience the coordination with other engineering fieldsMead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening requirements.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
