Substation Protection And Control Design EngineerThis role centers on substation protection and control (P&C) design for a variety of high-voltage utility projects including substations, solar collector substations, and battery energy storage systems.Essential FunctionsDevelop control logic, wiring diagrams, schematics, and relay control designsDesign and review protection schemes for bus, line, capacitor, and transformer systemsLead and mentor junior engineers and designersCreate and manage scopes, estimates, budgets, and schedules for P&C projectsProduce and interpret drawings including one-lines, three-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, relay settings, and SCADAPerform electrical studiesProvide technical support during construction, including site visits and field issue resolutionCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, suppliers, and contractorsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited program2 to 5 years of engineering experienceEIT or FE certification required; ability to obtain PE license within one yearExperience with substation and transmission P&C designKnowledge of SCADA communication design and substation equipment layoutStrong project management, organizational, and technical skillsExperience reviewing and checking design workAbility to work independently and lead engineering tasksExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPrior experience in the utility industry preferredElectrical Engineer -
