It also means that each member of our team has truly limitless potential to build unique, meaningful, and high-impact careers—and they'll receive great total rewards along the way.Job Summary: We are looking for a personable and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplined design team within our Brookhaven, MS or Gulfport, MS office, assisting the team on high profile hyperscale Data Center programs and many other mission critical nature projects around the country. This individual must be very familiar with state-of-the art design and various state and local regulations. There will be opportunities for both project technical leadership and mentorship of junior design staff every day.Responsibilities:Knowledge of electrical engineering principles in the field of building construction, especially in Mission Critical sectors including Data Centers and Defense projectsCapable of increasing technical competency through high level of care and work ethicEffective communicator with owners, contractors, and other design professional partnersAbility to work well independently as part of a strong teamTechnical mentorship with junior design staff and delegating tasks to complete work on timeQuality control of electrical engineering work productsExcellent organization and time management skillsTechnical lead on projects based on experience.Performs engineering calculations and analysis using available software (i.e. Power Tools, ETAP, etc.)Skills:Experience with both Medium and low voltage power systemsExperience in implementing high resiliency designs for mission critical infrastructure projectsProficient with RevitProficient written and oral communication skills essential for team-based projectsExcellent planning and organizational skills required for overlapping project schedulesQualifications:7 to 12 Years Experience in Design/ConsultingBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar ABET Accredited programRegistered Professional Engineering license requiredWilling to Travel (<20%)This role is eligible for performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysWellness programs and employee assistance resourcesProfessional development supportFor more information, visit our full benefits overview here – Salas O'Brien benefitsFounded in 1975, Salas O'Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on achieving impact for our clients, our team, and the world.
