Electrical EngineerKimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida (FL) office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their MEP team! This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesSupport our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale projectsLead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for MEP projectsResponsible for the development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagramsDaily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn officesPrepare project specifications, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the countryExpected to assist in mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our MEP practiceResponsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, and power analysesCoordinate with specialists for fire alarm, technology and lighting design as required by project scope of workCoordinate with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers and other disciplines for equipment power needs and sizing electrical distributionQualifications4+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering roleProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringUnderstanding of the National Electrical Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards, Fire Alarm Codes, Building and Energy Codes.Willingness to travel to support site visits and client meetings, as neededAbility to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staffExperience in building and associated site power distribution systems.Experience in Fire Alarm systems.Experience in lighting controls and photometric calculations.Experience in engineering project managementProficiency in RevitExperience in power system analysis using SKM, ETAP, or equivalentWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
