This role is in Textron System's Weapon Systems business area.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer Manager to lead the design and development of advanced electronic controls for a space-grade defense program. In this role, you'll take full technical ownership of a high visibility project, guide a team of Electrical Engineers, and ensure smooth coordination across all contributing engineering disciplines. This position is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, influencing product direction, and delivering hardware that performs in the most demanding environments.What You'll Do:Lead the end-to-end technical execution of a major electronic development effortMentor and develop a team of talented Electrical EngineersOversee design, analysis, prototyping, integration, and test of space qualified electronicsEnsure hardware integrity through comprehensive verification and qualificationOwn engineering schedules, resource planning, and milestone executionCoordinate closely with Cognizant Engineers, systems engineering, and cross functional partnersManage project budgets and performance (EVMS/CAM), seeking efficiencies and cost reduction opportunitiesDrive engineering process improvements that improve quality, speed, and robustnessSupport customer engagements, technical presentations, and major design reviewsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field10 years of relevant engineering experience, including 2 years in a leadership or project lead roleStrong background in electronic system development; space grade or high reliability hardware experience is a plusProven leadership, communication, and decision making skillsExperience with cost account management and budget oversightExpertise in design fundamentals, PCB development, and test methodologiesAbility to operate independently while collaborating effectively across diverse teamsActive U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)Ability to obtain additional government clearances as neededAt Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful.
