Electrical Engineer (Maintenance)

As an Electrical Engineer (Maintenance), you will:

  1. Create detailed electrical designs and drawings (or review the designs of others) for substation equipment and transmission line equipment repairs, replacements, and additions.
  2. Develop budget estimates, schedules, and project initiation documents and participate in developing multi-year plans for power system replacement and improvements.
  3. Draft technical specification paragraphs for outdoor electrical equipment and construction specifications using available standard guide paragraphs.
  4. Act as a technical representative during commissioning and energization of new equipment or changeover from existing to replacement or additional control and relaying schemes.
  5. Provide technical advice and assistance to maintenance craft, to inspectors in the coordination of contractor's work with dispatching personnel for stage construction in energized substations to insure safety of personnel and equipment.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
