The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production systems, utilities, and automation equipment while supporting plant uptime and operational performance goals.

- Handles projects of a high profile, complex nature that may involve groups inside and outside of the organization n
- Support operation, maintenance, and optimization of plant electrical systems and equipment n
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls issues affecting production and facility systems n
- Design, modify, and improve electrical systems including power distribution, motor control systems, and automation equipment n
- Support and lead capital projects including equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities n
- Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation n
- Work with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to support automated manufacturing processes n
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime n
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions n
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs for critical electrical assets n
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards, including NFPA 70 (NEC) and OSHA requirements and operate in accordance with Kymera Environmental, Health & Safety policies n
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and process optimization n
- Generates new/updated Standard Operating Procedures and similar documents, accountable for improvements and new product activities which ensure workers safety, compliance with environmental regulations and integrate with the Company quality systems. n
Requirements:n
- n
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline n
- 2 years of experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial, or process environments n
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (power distribution, motor controls, instrumentation) n
- Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley) n
- Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, and control systems n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in industrial environments n
- n
- Direct experience within a melt or metal powder environment n
- Professional Engineer (PE) license n

- Ability to work in hot industrial environments and around energized equipment n

- Frequently exposed to high, precarious places and extreme heat. n
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. n
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions. n
- Exposed to the risk of electrical shock and vibration and high levels of noise. n
- Exposure to noise, dust, high temperatures, and industrial hazards n
- On-call support for critical melt operations may be required n
