Electrical Engineer – San Antonio, TXKnight Aerospace is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our Engineering team in San Antonio, TX.This position supports the development and implementation of electrical designs and systems for multidisciplinary aerospace programs, including aircraft electrical system integration, electrical-mechanical interfaces, schematics, wiring diagrams, connector and circuit breaker panels, and technical documentation.What we're looking for:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering8 years of engineering experience in the aerospace industryExperience with aircraft electrical systems and integrationStrong experience creating and reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagramsExperience with AutoCAD/DraftSight, SolidWorks, electrical routing, and circuit analysis toolsWorking knowledge of FAA, Military, and applicable electrical standardsAbility to support production and troubleshoot electrical issuesAbility to travel domestically and internationally as neededMust be able to work 100% on-site in San Antonio, TXCompensation & Benefits:Salary: $80,000–$90,000, depending on experienceAnnual Bonus: 5% target409A Program: Participation in the company's 409A programPTO: 110 hours per yearPaid HolidaysEmployer paid Dental & Vision benefits, LTDMedical BenefitsFull-time PositionSchedule:Full-time, minimum 40 hours per weekMonday–Thursday: 9.5 hours per dayFriday: 4 hours100% on-site in San Antonio, TXPosition Summary:The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for the development and implementation of electrical designs and systems within multidisciplinary programs at Knight Aerospace. This will include efficiently designing electrical components and systems that are safe, innovative, and of high quality. The Electrical Engineer II will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that expectations are met.Duties and Responsibilities:Develops electrical system specifications, designs, and electrical-mechanical interfaces.Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems with minimal guidance.Integrate products with aircraft electrical systems.Develop connector and circuit breaker panels.Prepare product drawing and technical documentation.Establish budget, quality, and schedule deliverables for individual.Support design of projects and apply current sustainability processes.Promotes learning from successes and problems within the group and across the corporation.Develops energy audits and protocols.General Expectations:Has a high proficiency operating Auto Cad/Draft Sight, SolidWorks, and SolidWorks PDMHigh proficiency with SolidWorks electrical routing, and large assemblies/ systemsHigh aptitude in reading and creating block diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Takes the initiative to find innovative ways of solving complex design issues.Has a working knowledge of UL, FAA, and Military standardsWill be team oriented and take on a leadership role in the group.Liaison with planning, production, and qualityReflects the Company's values in all communications and activities.Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form, internally and externally.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 8 years of engineering experience in the aerospace industrySound knowledge of the application of engineering principlesMust have a valid driver's license.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, and/or other production methodologies (preferred)Work Environment Requirements:Full-Time PositionInternational and domestic travel in support of product designs, implementations, or ongoing serviceExtensive interaction with production floor activities
