Electrical Engineers IITalent Consultant Group is partnered with a firm that is seeking Electrical Engineers II to join their growing teams in Chicago, IL and Jacksonville, FL.This position performs all conventional aspects of engineering design and development, including the planning and conducting of work requiring more advanced techniques. This position independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of engineering designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. Serve as Lead Project Engineer and/or Project Manager.
Coordinate project recommendations and work with our full-service team of Architects, Engineers and Program Managers. Help develop and hire a team of engineers for future growth. Mentor and provide leadership to junior Engineers on staff.Responsibilities:Prepares project specifications, compiles, and analyzes relevant data, and prepares complete project documents, analysis, and reportsAnalyzes and interprets data.
Performs analyses of design, planning, and impact studies, as well as cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layoutsDesigns a complete project, system, component, or process and prepares project documents, engineering analysis, and reportsPerforms quality control reviews and ensures achievement of key milestones. Perform as-needed field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects to maintain and increase understanding of construction practices and design applicationsFormulates and solves problems with timely and innovative solutionsMaintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of all applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances that are pertinent to respective discipline.May provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration.
May also manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to company and project contractual requirementsPerforms all other duties as assigned and within scope of practiceRequired Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university7+ year's of electrical engineering work experience in building design in an A/E firmCurrently holds PE licenseWorking knowledge of NEC and other NFPA codesWorking knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Experience working on Building and site designPreferred Qualifications:Experience with REVITAbility to participate in business development, marketing, and client coordinationFinancial, Workplace, Industrial, Healthcare or AHCA experienceWorking knowledge with generators and UPS designExperience with managing staffAbility to travel on a limited basis
