Electrical Engineer, IIFT role Location: Charleston, Tennessee, 37310This position performs a variety of electrical and automation engineering work to maintain and continuously improve the performance of multiple chemical production units and related auxiliary systems in our fumed silica department (HDK). This position provides engineering and technical services to Operations and additional service units in order to assure safe operations, regulatory compliance, and to maximize the availability and efficiency of these units.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Computer Science EngineeringMinimum of 3 years of electrical engineering experienceThorough technical knowledge in the field of electrical or instrumentation engineering including relevant regulations, standards, and codesBasic understanding of engineering principles and construction practicesObjective judgement and fact-based decision-making approachResponsibilitiesSupport and closely cooperate with fellow Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) Engineering counterparts in assuring safe operating conditions and regulatory compliance of production unitsMaximize the availability of production units at required capacity and qualitySupport and maintain instrumentation and automation for the production unitsConsult and support capital projects executed by project engineeringSupport process and technology transfer between WACKER HDK production sitesSupport engineering team on capital invest and expense type projects within area of responsibilityConduct or coordinate debottlenecking and troubleshooting activitiesBecome an expert capable of exercising Electrical & Instrumentation engineering judgement with respect to the process areas of responsibility and assigned subject mattersDrive and support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and costSupport development of specifications, standards, and codesDevelop and support preventative maintenance plans such as ITPMsCooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering and Maintenance teams, within Operations, and other service units with focus on achieving optimal results and solutions from a corporate enterprise perspective
