Regulatory Compliance Electrical EngineerAs a Regulatory Compliance Electrical Engineer, you will build expertise in electrical safety, product certification, and global regulatory requirements for innovative data center liquid cooling technologies. Working alongside experienced engineers and compliance specialists, you will gain hands-on experience supporting product design reviews, testing activities, certification efforts, and regulatory documentation that help bring products to market around the world. This role is ideal for an early-career electrical engineer interested in learning how engineering designs are translated into compliant, customer-ready products.
Able to start immediately, or upon graduation in December 2026.What will you be doing:Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and specifications.Support product testing and validation activities, including observing and participating in compliance testing, analyzing results, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure products meet applicable regulatory requirements.Document compliance by completing approval applications, recording test results, preparing investigative reports, preparing, and filing Declarations of Conformity, and maintaining compliance database.Organize compliance programs by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and acquiring resources including in-house testing, 3rd party test houses, and Nationally Recognized Test Labs (NRTL)Work with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical problems, improve system features, and capabilities.Work with Engineering teams to ensure certification reports and records are up to date.Provide support for production facility compliance inspections.Investigate sources of special equipment, material, or devices and obtain quotes and prepare requisitions.Develop knowledge of industry standards and certification requirements used in commercial HVAC, data center, and mission-critical cooling applications, including: IEC-62368, IEC-61000, UL/CSA 60335, EN55032, EN55035, FCC, CE, and NEC and other regulatory agency requirements.Other duties as assigned.Prior experience with regulatory compliance or product certification is not required. We are looking for a strong electrical engineering foundation and a willingness to learn.What qualifications will make you successful:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or other related field0-3 years of related professional or internship experience requiredOpen to December 2026 graduatesLocated and able to work in greater Buffalo, NY areaMust have good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Electro-mechanical aptitude and familiarity with piping systems, pumps, motors, controls, or other industrial equipment preferred.Able to communicate clearly in verbal and written form to internal and external customers and to practice discretion when communicating appropriate information to a variety of audiences.Proficient with MS Office 365 for creating tables, charts, and inputting data into templates.Able to travel ~15% annuallyEffectively performs assignments, often with minimal supervision.Office environment with minimal lifting of thirty pounds or less. May require navigating stairs and maneuvering through the plant environment for guided tours.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis.
