Electrical EngineerOur client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to fill a Direct Hire opening in North Houston, TX!Up to 10% domestic travel is required!ResponsibilitiesDesign electric motor controls for overhead cranes and hoists.Apply specifications of Magnetic Motor Starters, Relays, and AC inverters.Assist in all phases of product development engineering activities.Calculate wire sizes/overload protection for cranes up to 800V DC and 4160V AC.Resolve manufacturing problems by collaborating with engineers and technicians.Prepare single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and interconnect drawings.Size and specify purchase components/BOMs based on standards and vendor information.Provide input for design improvements to enhance functions or reduce costs.Modify/improve existing circuit designs as necessary.Work with mechanical engineering and manufacturing for control system design.Develop connection/cable diagrams and general arrangement drawings.Travel to sites for meetings or troubleshooting control systems when required.QualificationsBachelors DegreePrevious experience as an Electrical Engineer is requiredPrevious experience with Electrical Design is requiredPrevious experience with Motor Controls is requiredAutoCAD 2016 or Zuken E3 experiencePLC & HMI Programming experienceNEC Electrical CodeRockwell, Siemens, or Danfoss PLC/VFD programming experienceCompensation: $85-95KWorking Place: Houston, TXDepartment: Alivia Group Business Solutions
