Electrical DesignerWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities include the application of the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC), performing sizing of wire, conduit, and cable tray, voltage drop calculations, creating cable tray/conduit routing layouts and power plans, performing fill calculation of cable tray and conduit, creating lighting, grounding, and heat tracing layouts and plans, performing sizing of overcurrent protection for lighting and low voltage MCCs, creating MCC, panel board, and heat tracing schedules, developing 480V one line diagrams and motor control schematics, performing lighting level calculations, creating electrical bulk material schedule and MTO, creating substation designs, layouts, and elevation plans, creating transformers yard and bust duct layouts, integrating electrical equipment layouts and substation into the overall plot plan and 3D model, creating electrical installation details from vendor equipment drawings and documentation, attending substation fabrication shops, inspecting/verifying wiring methods and equipment assembly according to approved drawings and specifications, attending site surveys of customers' facilities in preparation of layout and site installation drawings, and/or As-Built drawings. Drafting includes creating 2D electrical detail drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and AVEVA/E3D, creating to scale substation layouts and elevation drawings using AutoCAD, integrating substation layouts into the overall plot plan and 3D model, integrating electrical equipment layouts into the overall plot plan and 3D model, integrating cable tray layouts and power plans into the overall plot plan and 3D model, integrating lighting, grounding, and lightning protection into the into the overall plot plan and 3D model, creating 2D installation details and sections, and working experience of 2D detail drawings and drafting standards to complete IFD (Issued for Design), and IFC (Issued for Construction), and As-built drawing packages in accordance with company standard drawing format and procedures.Skills and qualifications include an associate's degree in engineering or computer Aided Drafting technology or equivalent experience, minimum of 10 years electrical design and drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, NavisWorks, AVEVA/E3D, experience in design of prefabricated substation and modular equipment, experience in an EPC environment, and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
