As part of our integrated design teams, you will create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.The successful candidate willAssist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policiesDevelop electrical designs from concept through completion of constructionPrepare engineering design calculations and layoutsPrepare detailed engineering reports and narrativesCoordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplinesRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree (ABET accredited) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering5-10 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial architecture including K-12, Workplace, Higher Education, Justice+Civic, and SportsPassed Fundamentals of Engineering ExamPreferred QualificationsPrevious internship, co-op experience, or full time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firmLicensed Electrical Engineer (Registered in Texas)Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflowExperience and interest in sustainable building designLighting and/or low voltage design experienceDLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.We are 100% employee-owned: every employee is literally invested in our clients' success.
