Joby Electrical EngineerJoby is seeking a talented electrical engineer to join our team designing all-electric aircraft and charging systems. This engineer will work closely with mechanical, software, and other cross-functional teams. You'll be taking ownership of key electrical subsystems and printed-circuit-boards from design through prototyping and to product.
This is a hands-on position. Optimizing designs for reliability, weight, and efficiency will be essential. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline2+ years of working experience in relevant industryStrong EE fundamentals, including familiarity with:Power conversion (linear and switching regulators)High-speed digital design and layoutSignal conditioning and conversion (ADCs, filters)Discrete semiconductor design (FETs, BJTs, Diodes)Schematic capture and PCB designExperience with component selectionHands-on experience with building and debugging hardwareProven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team spanning firmware to mechanical engineering to supply chain.Great communication skillsDesiredAdvanced degree in relevant discipline5+ years of working experience in relevant industryFamiliarity with Altium DesignerExposure to regulatory certificationDesign-for-reliability, including use of DFMEA and fault treesDesigning for high EMI environmentsExpertise in high voltage DC and/or EV charging systemsKnowledge in industry standards SAE/UL/IEEE as well as national and international electrical codesAdditional InformationCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
