Electrical Engineer – Fpga DesignThis onsite role supports Fpga design and verification for Raytheon digital products. The engineer will develop production-quality Fpga solutions from early concept through integration, test, and release.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and verify VHDL Fpga designs for Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi devicesSupport high-speed serial, RF/EO DSP, controls, data links, embedded processing, and processor interfacesTranslate system-level requirements into Fpga requirements, architectures, interfaces, and CONOPSPerform partitioning, coding, simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closureVerify designs using directed and constrained-random testing with functional and code coverageCreate requirements, verification plans, user guides, and configuration-controlled design documentationSupport technical reviews, integration, troubleshooting, and production releasesRequired QualificationsFpga development or verification experienceVHDL design experienceExperience with simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and Fpga verificationExperience with directed and/or constrained-random test methodologiesExperience working with systems engineers and circuit card designersAbility to support projects to schedule, budget, and technical requirementsPreferred QualificationsXilinx, Altera, and/or Microsemi Fpga experienceRF, DSP, EO, high-speed serial, data link, or embedded processing experienceExperience with coverage-driven verificationExperience with Fpga requirements, configuration management, and controlled releasesAerospace, defense, or complex digital hardware experienceWhat Success Looks LikeDelivers reliable, production-ready Fpga releasesConverts system requirements into clear Fpga architectures and implementationsCloses verification, coverage, timing, and integration issues efficientlySupports designs through test, technical review, and production release
