Electrical Engineer - EPC Design

RVN Inc. is hiring an Electrical Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a global EPC engineering client in Houston, Texas.

We are looking for 6 10 years of electrical engineering experience in an EPC design environment. Power-generation project experience is preferred; relevant industrial EPC experience is welcome.

Responsibilities
• Prepare one-line diagrams, electrical load lists, cable and conduit schedules.
• Perform load, cable-sizing, voltage-drop, grounding and lighting calculations, and support short-circuit and protective-device coordination studies.
• Prepare specifications and datasheets for transformers, switchgear, motor control centers and motors.
• Coordinate raceway, grounding, lighting and equipment layouts with designers.
• Review vendor documents, resolve technical queries and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Support procurement packages and construction queries.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 6 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including hands-on EPC design deliverables.
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, ANSI and NEMA standards.
• Ability to work with one-line diagrams, P&IDs and equipment layouts.
• Current authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D or SmartPlant Electrical experience and EIT certification are useful.
