Electrical Engineer - Embedded Hardware
Location: Charlotte, NC Area (Onsite)

About the Opportunity
TalentBridge is partnering with a rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing organization supporting next-generation unmanned vehicle platforms and advanced defense technologies.
This team develops electrical systems for rugged mobile platforms used in demanding environments. The organization combines the speed and innovation of a growing engineering group with the resources of a well-established manufacturer. Engineers work closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to bring new products from development through production.
Primary Responsibilities
You'll play a key role in the development and integration of electrical systems by:
  • Designing and developing printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) from initial concept through production.
  • Selecting electronic components and supporting sourcing, manufacturing, testing, and validation activities.
  • Developing embedded hardware using microcontrollers and supporting firmware developed in Python and C.
  • Designing electrical architectures for battery-powered and generator-supported mobile systems.
  • Creating and supporting electrical harnesses, wiring layouts, and system interconnects.
  • Performing electrical troubleshooting, system integration, verification, and hardware validation.
  • Supporting prototype builds, engineering changes, and continuous product improvements.
  • Preparing engineering documentation including schematics, bills of material, test procedures, and design revisions.
  • Working closely with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and systems engineers throughout product development.

What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will have experience with most of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Two or more years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Embedded systems and microcontroller development.
  • Python and C programming for embedded applications.
  • Hands-on PCBA design, component selection, and board development.
  • Electrical harness design and system integration.
  • Battery systems, power storage, generators, or mobile power distribution.
  • CAN Bus communication.
  • Circuit design, power electronics, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Git version control and Linux development environments.
  • Using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment for debugging and validation.
